This site presents my work. It has no forms, no accounts and no advertising. This page explains which data is processed when you visit.

Audience measurement

I use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. The data collected includes:

• pages viewed and visit duration;
• where the visit comes from (search engine, LinkedIn, direct link);
• device and browser type;
• approximate country or city;
• interactions with the site: scrolling, projects viewed, clicks on the CV, contact links, language choice or links to external sites.

Google Analytics sets two cookies on your device: _ga and _ga_4BXHZ2X8C1. They recognise a returning visit. They expire after two years at most.

According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log IP addresses. Detailed data is kept for two months. Only aggregated reports remain after that.

This data is used only to improve the site. I do not sell it. I do not use it for advertising.

Google may process this data in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Opting out

You can block cookies in your browser settings. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site remains fully usable.

Hosting

The site is hosted by OVHcloud in France. Like any web server, it keeps technical logs: IP address, date, requested page, browser. These logs are used to run and secure the site.

Email and external links

If you write to me, I use your message only to reply. I do not pass it on to anyone.

Links to LinkedIn lead to a third-party site. Its own privacy rules apply.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), you can ask to access, correct or delete your data. Write to me at contact@giordanbernard.ch.
